The Best Easter EVER! :)

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there! How was your Easter? I think that this is the best one we have ever had! We had a lot of people over including our 2 boy cousins. We had so much fun! See, normally, we don't talk to them and these family gatherings are really boring. But not so this time! Here is a pic:

Gracie Pie!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!

Here are some pics. of my adorable adopted cousin! She came over and we watched her while her Mom went to the dentists!

She is so serious it is ADORABLE! I think that she looks so much like her Mom but she has her Dad's hair! She is so pudgy! I love it :)

She is just starting to crawl and can really go at a good pace! She had all her little toys...very cute!

Gracie is starting to pull herself up :) We were fortunent to catch her doing it! She is so proud of herself and we were so proud of her!















So yeah! I have more pics. If you want them just email me! If you could pls. pray for Gracie. They found out that she has the whooping caugh. She coughs so hard she throws up...it is really bad. The other night she coughed for 5 minutes straight. Pls. pray for her and her parents. They would all really appreciate it!

Update: I called Tim Horten's and they are definately going to be doing interviews and they are going to call me back! I am so in awe at what the Lord is doing! Love to you all and have a great day!

Exciting News!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
I am sceduled to go for my road test on Wednesday, April 4 and that is in 16 days! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! :) So pls. pray that I will pass!
Also I have applied for a job at Tim Hortens. They haven't called me back though. Pls. pray that the Lord will provide a job and that I will just trust in Him!

GREEN STRIPES AHOY!!!!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
No, I am not attaining stripes green or any other color on my person :) Us kids officially got our green stripes on Thursday! The test was exhausting but the result was great! It was so neat. The day before I just told the Lord to take ALL of me. So on Thursday I just gave my day to Him. A lot of cool stuff happened but that is for another time!
We had origionally thought that we were going to get tested. That fact was confirmed when Mr. McClurg (The head teacher) went to the multi-purpose room with pads and stuff during warm-up. Then as some other kids and us went out Jim (another teacher) looked at Jenny and said "Good luck!". That was the final clue! :) We aren't a totally clueless family! So we tested and it was TOUGH! But good! At 1st we thought that we hadn't passed because they didn't have the ceremony at the end of class so we were totally bummed! But then Mr. McClurg came up to us and reassured us we had indeed passed and were indeed green stripes! What a relief! We also found out that he is a Christian! How cool is that!?
So we had the ceremony on Thursday! Here are some pics...sorry the resolution isn't the best! Enjoy:

This is Craig one of our other instructors doing my stripes. We think that he looks like Hayden Christinson from Star Wars but we think that he is a lot cooler! In fact, his whole family is awesome! His Dad,sister, and him are black belts and his brother is a blue belt. His Mom orders stuff and does a lot of other stuff. They are really neat! So there is that...

This is Abby and Jenny getting there stripes. Unfortunently, Mom didn't get one of Danny getting his. So he already has them. Craig is doing them, His Dad is behind him giving him the tape 'cause he is so slow :), and Jim is the one standing at gimbee. The 2 little boys are new yellow belts, they also tested on Tuesday.

After Craig finally finished putting on our stripes all the teachers congragulated each of us with a handshake.

We bowed to our teachers as a show of respect...

Then we turned and faced the class. We bowed to them and they bowed to us in recognition.

As we headed back to line-up we were excited knowing that the next goal to start working towards was (and is) our green belt. We also felt a deep satisfaction knowing that we were (and are) one step closer to becoming black belts!

Well, that is that! One more exciting tidbit! We know are the proud owners of a new van! :) God was in it from beginning to finish and now we have a show-room condition marron van that God provided for an incredibly low price! To Him be the glory! Great things He has done! :) God bless! :)

Sorry I haven't updated in so incredibly long! It has been sooooo incredibly busssssyyyyy!
We had our youth group lock-in (where you stay up allll night!) on Friday. It was a TON of fun :) However, I was so tired! I slept 19 hrs. yesterday. I don't think that I could ever be able to have a night job. You miss so much!
Speaking of jobs if you could all pray...I am applying to tons of places and I really want to get the one where God will use me the most!

The Premiere for "The Return of the Queen"

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
As many of you know our family and two other families made a feature length movie "Return of the Queen" this past year. It took many months to finish but the end result was better then I think any one of us imagined!

The initial showing was at Liv White's (the writer, producer,directer, co-editer, and star) family reunion. There were over 90 people that viewed it and it was a huge succes! So we continued in our plans to have a formal premiere. Liv's Mom was able to get an arts council and the date was set! With almost 50 people there it was a huge succes! Liv's Mom had worked tirelessly to make everything go smoothly and with her effort's they did! Everyone throughly enjoyed it and deemed it a huge sucess!

Ok...so there is kinda the background here are the pics!

This is Liv White. She wrote the script for "Return of the Queen" while in Africa where her family serves as missionaries to Congo. She asked us to help her with it and so the vision to see it on the "big screen" was born! :) She plays the lead role of Ireth Tari. She also directed and helped edit it. She was very convincing in her role as Ireth and it was really neat to be able to pay tribute to her work at the premiere. Keep the scripts coming Liv!

My sister Jen had an interesting role to play...as a result of having a serious shortage of boys she played the other lead role of Angrod. She did a wonderful job...so good in fact that at the initial showing many could have sworn she was a boy! Either way, she added a lot of little touches to the movie and did a great job portraying a hero of the olden times!

Sadie Hawkins (a.k.a. your's truly) portrayed the emotionally gripping role (LOL) of Ireth's mother Nessa. She also was the main editer of the film. She had to do some pretty amazing stuff...like: jumping out of a window while 9 months pregnant, laying in the mud for 1/2 hour with ketchup all up and down her. Truly she added much to this film and even drew tears! LOL :) It was a huge relief to have the premiere because she felt like her work (at least for this movie) was finally paying off. It was great to see "Return of the Queen" on the BIG SCREEN!!!

As another result of a serious shortage of guys, Liv's younger sister Claire was called upon to play the dramatic role of Findario. The "mean guy that turns nice!" She did a wonderful job and added a lot of pep to the overall theme of the movie. She also added some funny moments! (mud slinging, being tripped emotional and nervous breakdown in the bloopers). It was so much fun to see her character develope! She did a wonderful job!

Ian Dodge wonderfully portrayed Anessen. Angrod's sidekick and loyal best friend. He was the one that made people laugh and the "hunk" the girls exclaimed over (especially Angela O'Casey in her role as Serethial). Everyone loved him and he added a lot. He sure stood out as one of the 3 guys at the premiere! We were all very proud of him. It was his 1st principal role and he pulled it off beautifully.

Belle Anderson played the part of Euranna; Ireth's youger daughter. She was a lot of fun and had to do some challenging stunts (getting soaked from head to toe in really cold water!). But she had a lot of fun. Belle was one of the youngest actresses on the set so it was neat to kinda have a "little sister". I think that she was glad to see the movie finished and is looking forward to beginning the next one. She has been in several smaller films and we know that this little actress is going to be going big!






Angela O'Casey has been getting into some pretty major roles recently (lead in "Clothes", and is looking forward to a lead across Ian Dodge in "Hope Prevails"). In "Return of the Queen" she plays Serethial; Findario's daughter who has a crush on Anessen. In the end she realizes that she has a courage within that she didn't know existed. She was really glad to have this movie completed and can hardly wait to start filming the next one!

Noah Webber was the youngest member on set. He portrayed Oronar; a 6 yr. old orphan boy. While not his 1st movie "Return of the Queen" was definately his first major picture. He was a great little acter and was really excited to see himself on the big screen! We look forward to seeing him in upcoming productions.

(Not pictured) Jonicca Bordin was one of the two villins in "Return of the Queen". Jonicca is an experianced actress and it was really cool to have her on set. She added a lot! She refused to watch herself though when the viewing occured but all that actually saw thought she did an awesome job!

Johnny Pembrooke portrayed the Black Captain. He also choreographed all the sword fights. Also an accompliched actor he added a lot both on screen and off. He is planning on getting married this summer and the whole cast wishes him well.

(Not Pictured) Beesh, though not in the movie, added a lot to the final stages. She was co-editor and also filmed some major scenes. We couldn't have done it without her. This is not her 1st project; she has worked on many different ones and she is planning on going to college for filming and broadcasting.

Whew! It has been busy!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
We finally had Tae-kwon Do last night! It has been cancelled alot 'cause of all the snow we have been getting! (uggg! I can't type today!). It was nice to see everybody again but it was soooo boring! Oh well...we have a make-up class tomorrow so we will see how that will go! I love Tae-kwon Do though! :)
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day though! After Tae-kwon Do we are going to Mr. M's house to watch "Return of the Queen" again. It will kinda be like a 2nd premiere. Oh and I am going to post some pics of the 1st one hopefully soon! So stay posted! I am also going to try to figure out a way to put links to other blogs...so pls. be patient!

Odds-n-Ends

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
Have you ever watched "Little Women" the one starring Winonna Ryder and Susan Sharadon? It is me and my sisters all-time favorite movie! (Well, one of them!)



This is one of my favorite parts of the movie (I got it off youtube)! It reminds me very much of my own siblings. We are all so different and yet still love each other. My sisters and I have decided that I am most like Meg (the oldest go figure!). The sister after me is most like Amy. And my youngest sister is almost exactly like Jo it is hilarious! The part where Jo burns megs hair...We laughed so hard when we saw it because (If I ever let her TOUCH my hair) I could see her doing it! :) And I think that her reaction would be the same too! Also I can just see and hear her saying "She's completely bald in front!" :) Anyway, I highly recommend this movie if you like family films! We love it!

Onto other things...I finally have some pics of the friends that came and visited us on New Years Day! They are very close to us and it was so much fun to see them. They are mennnonites

rom Canada and decided to surprise us! The man is a cowboy and is opening a ranch in Alberta for abused kids! He loves the Lord so very much and has made a huge inpact on each of us. Back row: Me, a schoolteacher that lived down the road for a year, the cowboy! Middle row: One of our very good mennonite friends that lives up her, My youngest sister. As you can probably tell we had so much fun and hope to see them again sometime soon!

One longstanding joke that we had was when we were in Canada visiting them "the cowboy" :) told us to come back in 5 years and he would have husbands for us! So, everytime we see him we always remind him and we have a good laugh about it afterfward! Praise the Lord for friends!

Oh, Pls. pray that the Lord would be with the mexican that has been coming to our house. Something happened and he had to go back to Mexico immediately...He stopped by to say good bye and he looked like he had been crying and was really upset. He gave us his address and we gave him ours so hopefully we can stay in touch.

Thanx for putting up with me! Oh and Mel...since I haven't really posted a recent pic here I am with me 12 year old brother! I haven't grown in 2 years and we had taken a picture in the exact same position except he was not even up to my shoulder! Times change huh! :) Enjoy!

Here is something I never knew...

Do you ever wonder why so many girls hate themselves, think they are ugly, have eating disorders, etc...? I think that a huge part of it is because of the "gorgeous models" everywhere and the world telling them that in order to be "perfect" they have to do "x" amount of things. I really was amazed at this video and it made me realize that without all the fixing up models are ordinary people just like you and me. Jesus made each and everyone of us special! Remember that!

I am really excited 'cause I finally have a chance to share some "candid shots" of my everyday life and introduce you to some people!
1st I wanted to post some pics for one of my very good friends. She loves photography and ,while I am more into movie making and editing, I like to dress people up and take pics too! These particular ones are of my younger sister. So, Car, here they are!

In other news! We as a family were so incredibly encouraged last night! I don't know if I have told you but we have started a ministry to the mexican migrant workers around our area. For a few months we have been having a man over for dinner about once a week. My Dad has also been teaching him english out of the book of John and he is helping us with our spanish as we are hoping to go to Mexico! That is his picture on the rightwith my Dad. Well, my Dad has been especially discouraged lately just because it seems as though nothing is happening with the church and nothing seemed to be happening with our mission stuff (he is going on a trip in July to Mexico though so pls. pray!). Anyway, He was really discouraged. He went to pick up the man and lo and behold he (the worker) had brought his nephew! Origionally ,because they know no english and we know no spanish, we had communicated through the laptop on a translation site but then the laptop broke...So Mom and Dad were a little bit worried about if they would be able to talk. They had the most wonderful, relaxing, fun time ever! He even invited Mom and Dad to come visit them in Mexico! GOD IS GREAT!!!! Pls. pray that more will come and that we will be led by the Lord. Also that these men will come to know Jesus.

Well, that is pretty much it! We are going to dinner at someones house tonight so I had better go get ready as we leave in about 15 minutes and I am in workout clothes!

Modesty

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
I just wanted to share with you an essay that I just comleted for a school assignment. I hope you enjoy!

"I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriaty, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God." - 1 Timothy 2:9-10
To many people in modern day America "modesty" is a thing unheard of. The message being screamed at young people today is pretty much: "If you've got it, flaunt it." Sadly many Christian teenagers, including myself, fall for this wordly view on modesty. The problem is that Christians really do not have an excuse. Does that mean we dress in plain, ugly, sack dresses all the time? No, I don't believe that is does. To me, being modest does not mean that I can not dress in a pretty, appealing manner. It means keeping certain parts of my body that where meant to be covered...covered.
I know that people are always pressing this but it is so true. We as Christian young women have a responsibility to protect our Christian brother's eyes. Guys are visual. So what do you think that it does to someone when he sees a girl in the "latest" fashion of skin-tight jeans, a tight low-cut shirt, and with their belly's hanging out of their shirts? Think about it.
You are getting dressed in the morning. You pull on your jeans. You think "Hmm, these are a little tight in the upper area, but everybody else is wearing it." You pull on your shirt "Hmm, this is too skin-tight (but it flatters my figure) and this is just a little bit too low (but EVERYONE is wearing it)." Who are you fooling?
If you didn't tell someone that you were a Christian would they know that something was different? I am not saying that the level of modesty you have determines whether or not you are a "good" Christian. However, does your love for Jesus make you want to dress modestly?
Being modest doesn't mean dressing like a Quaker! Sometimes you just have to get a little bit creative.
Personally, God has convicted me of my own lack of modesty. When I was in front of the mirror I could see how it looked and frankly powerful showing off my body. It felt good! That is a big pitfall of mine. I must admit that I have worn some pretty sleazy stuff and that si something I deeply regret. So, I have decided to wear skirts for the time being.
Now, there is nowhere in the Bible where it ways "Wear skirts" but right now I believe that Jesus wants me to wear them. That is me personally though. This is a subject that wach one of us need to come to terms with personally between us and God. S0, the next time that you go to put on a shirt or anything think to yourself...will this draw attention to me or Jesus?

Youth Group leads to house in Perry...

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
Have God ever just...opened your eyes to where He wants you? He has done that for me! I went to a youth group for abused kids to help out on Friday. These were 5th and 6th graders...but let me tell you these kids know a lot more about the dark side of life than people 10x's their age. It is really scary!
I got home and I can't even describe the burden and heaviness that I felt for these kids. For example, one girl for prayer time described how her mom was almost beaten to death on Christmas Eve by her boyfriend. She described it like it was completely normal! I was talking to Mr. B on the way home and he said that was "light" compared to some kids that have shared. I wasn't thinking it was light as she described how "he picked up a cord to strangle her but she managed to kick it and break it"... As we dropped these kids off at their houses I was shocked how these kids live! How they have survived. I asked Mr. B that if I opened a house in Perry and told these kids to come would they? He said there would be no doubt...most kids just wander the streets all day because there is nothing to do and they want to be anywhere but at home! And those are kids like 10, 11, 12...the teens are smart enough to hide behind buildings, in alleys, and at the park pavilons. He said that these kids knock in their door all day and that they would move in an instant if they could.
Prior to this I had this growing impression that Jesus wanted me to stay here...but after Friday...He affirmed it! So what are my plans? Pls. pray that God would allow me to buy a house and that He would provide the money...these kids are our next generation! When are we going to start doing something and reaching out to them!?!
I wanted to go all over the world and what do you know? God brought me back here...10 minutes away...to kids that are invisible but hurting. Could you do something where YOU are? Let God use you and pls. continue to pray for me as I seek to honor and glorify Him here! Love to all! Thanx for reading! :)

Happy almost New Year!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
Christmas is over and the New year is almost here...can you believe it? I can't...this year has been such a growing time for me. While I haven't grown an inch physically! God has really been working on me spiritually and mentally...Great things He has done!
So how was all your Christmas? We were all sick so we stayed home but it was still nice. I got a willow tree figurine (I love those!) from my Mom, books, a gift certificate to Joann's fabric store, and a purity ring.
The purity ring is my 3rd one in 4 years! Whew! :) The 1st one I still have but my sister bent it really bad. The 2nd one was an opel and I was shopping for camp one fateful summer day and I went outside to wait to get picked up and while waiting looked down and the stone was gone! I never found that! And now, my 3rd try, I was baking last night and bumped my hand and the stone fell out! It must be an opel thing! Thankfully though...I have the stone and my Mom is going to go have it fixed.
I have picked up with my sewing again. I think it would be soooo neat to open a store that specializes in dresses and skirts but cool modest ones! That i design...oh well! Maybe that dream will come true! WHO KNOWS what tomorrow holds!
So where are you in your relationship with Jesus at the beginning of this New Year? I hope that it is going well! Trust in Jesus and remember that no matter what You can always go to Him! Praise His name for such a chance to make the most of this new year are you doing it?

New oppartunities!

Hey all you bloggers out there!
God has been doing some pretty amazing things lately. And I have really been struggling with the what if's. I am so sick of doing that! I had a really good talk with my mom last night...I have realized that it really doesn't do ya any good to worry! I say that my future is uncertain, but, in all reality, it is very certain because I have Jesus in my life and as long as I am going HIS will...nothing can go wrong!
So, my Dad is hoping to go on a missions trip to Mexico this summer. I was going to go with him but was directed otherwise! I am really excited 'cause by the time that he leaves I will (hopefully) have my liscense and can drive my Mom and siblings around! YES!!!
Other exciting news...i am graduating early! Which means that I am doing 11th and 12th grade right now! God is so good! I can't even convey to you how thankful I am for His unfailing love, mercy, and forgiveness. So, I will be having a grad. party this year! I am glad of that 'cause if I had my grad. party next year a lot of people that I really want there would not be cause they are going back to the mission field! So, God has worked it all out for His glory. Like always.
I am so happy because starting this Friday I am going to start working with a youth group in Perry. There are 50 kids (and it is still growing by at least 3 everytime) and each of them are abused in some way. It is so sad. I am so glad that I am able to be able to work with these kids. I have to admit though I am kinda nervous! But, I know that if this is where God wants me He will guide me!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Yes, it is once again that time of year! I am so broke! Negative 3 dollars to my Mom. I bought a jar of pickles from her for my sister. No, I am not a complete weirdo! She ASKED for them! I don't know where she gets it...LOL! :) This Christmas is going to be great! We celebrate on Christmas eve. We are going to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast,then, we are going to go to a church in Fairport, then, we are going to go see the Nativity Story, then, we are going to go home eat pizza and wings (our "traditional" christmas dinner) and open presents! It is going to be a great day! But, lets remember to keep the Christ in christmas this year! God gave His best for us! Do we remember to thank Him for it?

Hey all you bloggers out there! Here are some recent thoughts...I have really had my eyes open to what I should do lately concerning missions...I need to stop sitting on my bum and get out and start living my dreams! Start allowing God to use me where I am! I have realized just last night...I have had oppertunities right under my nose! I am hopefully going to be able to help with a youth group of 50 kids under 15 years old that are ALL either emotionally,sexually, or physically abused. One 6th grader is dying from anorexia...she wears size 2 TODDLER!!!! And her family doesn't care! This is 10 minutes from me! I have kinda been worrying about what God would have me to do after graduating. I have such a heart for street kids...abused and hurting kids, and prostitutes! How many have died? TODAY! How many young girls have lost their virginty? TODAY! How many kids have gotten high 'cause they can't deal with who they are...the fact that no one loves them? TODAY!!! It is such a big would out there and I want to reach these kids and show them love! Give them hugs and kisses...teach about Jesus! Just...love them...and show that love! I can't explain it! Ol, I have rambled on long enough! I hope that you could make some sense of it!

Exciting change of events!

I am back! Sorry that it took so much time to update! These past few months have turned my entire life upside down...literally! Well, it started with a missionary family! They came and stayed at our house for 6 days. They are missionaries to Papua New Gunea. During the course of the week God really started working on me personally...I started arguing with Him! :) See in my mind I knew that God wanted me to have a ministry to abused girls. But in my mind it was a ministry that would be here in the United States. So anyway, I started argueing with the Lord. I told Him that I knew there was such a need out there in Papua New Guenea (PNG) But that there was a huge need here too. So, finally, on saturday morning I asked the Lord to show me clearly whether or not He would have me to go...on Sunday morning the missionary spoke and all through the sermon tears where just streaming down my face. Suddenly, my sister handed me a note...it had two simple words ,written in my Dad's handwriting, "we're going". I couldn't believe it! But it is true! God has called our family to the mission field. What about me personally? Well, I took that note that my dad wrote as God telling me personally to go. And over the months God has showed Himself so faithful in opening my eyes to the amazing oppertunities that He has for me. He opened my eyes to the needs in the Philipines, Calcutta, Mexico City...I have such a burden for street kids and prostitutes...people...children that do not have a chance! I realized just last night though that there is need everywhere! So, for now, I am trusting God to show me where He would have me to go.
As for our family...it is so neat how God has worked! We origionally thought about going toward PNG but...as time went on it just seemed that somewhere in the middle the Lord closed that door. We are now looking into the people of Mexico...and we are praying about going with To Every Tribe Ministries...pls. pray for us that we would follow the Lord's leading and that we would bring honor and glory to His awesome name! For HE so deserves it! Praise His name!

Catching up...

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there! Sorry I haven't updated in a while... :( I have some pretty cool news:
I got my PERMIT!!!! I am so incredibly excited 'cause now I can officially drive!! I really enjoy it but man! you cannot do anything! I mean, you have to concentrate on a million different things! Oh well, it's still really neat!
Our youth group has really grown! We have around 20 kids now. Just pray that the Lord will still keep bringing more people...and also that he will save those that already go but aren't saved yet.
We started school! I really enjoy it. I mean, it is exactly my style of learning and such. It is a very independant style of teaching so,pretty much, I get my weeks assignments that are all due on Friday's and I do them at my own pace.
How's your walk with Jesus doing? I've been really busy lately and as a result I find myself not spending as much time as I should getting to know Jesus better. Not that that is an excuse! The Lord has been working with me on that lately and I am starting to get back on track! One thing about the Lord is that He never changes and always is there for His children! I have a wonderful Savior! I truly do! Thank Him today for saving you!

A challenge...

On Wednesday a 20 year old girl that we knew was in a car accident and died at the hospital. She was beautiful, loved the Lord, had a great goal to be a teacher, and, she died...I was reading her obituary and was struck by the thought "What if I were to die at 20 years of age..." I'm 16 years old, that would give me 4 more years to make a difference in this world. I was struck also by the question of "What will I have done for the Lord in 4 years...what will I have accomplished for Him?"
I guess when I think of dying my mind autamatically thinks "Older" but...she was 20! She was in the best years of her life! It just goes to show that we DON'T KNOW! Do we live our lives with the mindset of wanting to live each day to the fullest, of wanting to make a difference in others lives, of wanting to touch as many people as we can with the love an hope of Jesus Christ?
What if you or me died today? Would we hear from the mouth of Jesus "Well done thou good and faithful servant." Or, would He be dissappointed in us...It could happen in an instant...are we ready?

Hey all you bloggers out there :)
Here I am, once again, to try to finish telling all the great things God has done for me while I was gone for a month at Bliss Summit Bible Camp. I already kinda shared about Teen week...Let me just say that I came home and I wasn't sure if I was really cut out for the job.. Then, after I had cried all the way there, when I got to camp the Lord totally picked me up...Junior weeks are sooo incredibly different that teen wks. :) I had an awesome cabin and an awesome counselor. One thing that I noticed though was that until I started focusing on God and decided to not try to impress others...things didn't get better,BUT, as soon as I got my priorities straight God did great things! Anyway... this was my cabin... there were a lot of different challenges but it was sooo neat to see God working in these young girls hearts and lives. One night my counselor gave a devotion on salvation and explained it to the girls. We then told them that if they had any questions they could come out after and talk to us. All bit one girl came! They had a lot of good questions. It was neat... although none of the girls made a decision that night lator in the week 0ne got saved and I pray that many seeds were planted... I'm sure that some people wonder why on earth I do this...spending such a large part of my summer with these kids... I really believe that God has called me into this kind of a ministry... I love being with the kids and spending time one-on-one with them. The neatest thing in the world to me is seeing Jesus become real to them. I really believe that the Lord has called me into this kind of ministry...I love it!!! God is sooo incredibly good! Seriously, words cannot express what God has done...
When I went to camp I was pretty "comfy" in my walk with God...I don't think that I necessarily realized it them but looking back, I was. The Lord really challenged me to start focusing on HIM...to start living to the fullest for HIM...to know HIM better...

"To be like Jesus...to be like Jesus...

My month at Bliss Summit Bible Camp...

Ok, so...how are you fellow bloggers? :) I am AWESOME! These past few weeks have been the most amazing experience of my entire life! I can't even really...express just what God has done for me during this time. He has stretched me to the point where I thought I was going to crack and then, JUST when I thought there was no way I could go on...He was there :) God is soooo good! I just want to take you briefly through this awesome adventure that I have been so privledged to undertake!
My 1st official week as a CIT was Teen week...
this is the whole camp with Pastor Holman outside Holman Lodge that is dedicated to the memory of his wife. There weren't really a lot of kids ,but, that was kinda nice cause we as staff had the chance to spend more one-on-one time with each camper. This is my cabin...overall it was a great group of girls. We had a few issues but,hey, it's to be expected :) This week was hard because I was...so focused on pleasing others and proving myself to the other staff...
Well, my Dad's here and I have to go maybe someday I can actuelly completely update you!:)

The deep breathe before the plunge (so to speak)

Im back from training at Bliss Summit and let me tell ya! :) It was so awesome! I really learned a lot...God has changed me soooo mucho much; I didn't even think that some things were possible! The whole atmosphere...I can't even start to describe it. The people there (and these are, for the most part, kids my age) love Jesus. The whole center of the camp itself is Jesus Christ, it's like it's a seperate culture. I have to go...sorry this is so short! Talk soon.

Camp Ahoy!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there! :)
Sooo exciting what God is doing in my life:) Here's a few of my thoughts that I shared in an email to a missionary friend:
" Hey! How are you doing? I have the most incredible news! I am OFFICIALLY the newest CIT at Bliss Summit Bible Camp! I am getting kinda jittery though because it is 3 days till countdown. :-) I am leaving on Monday for a week of staff training. I’m kinda scared because I’ll be alone…I mean… Ever since this past school year a friend from school and I had been planning to work together at camp. We originally thought that it wouldn’t work out BUT a few weeks ago she called and we decided to call the Bliss office and get applications. We did and I got my application, filled it out, and then got a call from Uncle Ben (all the guys are uncles and the girls are aunt or miss depending on if they are married yet. Obviously I am a Miss. :-) ) telling me that I was accepted. I was ecstatic!!! Then…my friend called and said that she wouldn’t be able to work after all because of some different circumstances… It’s hard… I mean, I’m excited about going but I’m also scared…what if I don’t make friends? What if others hate me and I have NO IDEA why? It’s kinda neat though because I’ve been studying in my devos about how as a child of God I am totally hidden in Jesus Christ!!! God is good! I do trust Him…it’s just kinda scary :-) So, I am going on Monday for staff training; then, I am coming home for a week to celebrate my birthday. It’s on a Sunday this year and since the camp wk. starts on Sundays I am just going to celebrate it early! Which, by the way, I don’t mind at all! :-) Then I am going for 3 wks. in a row. Mom is going to cook the last week so that the kids can come for free. The first wk. (the 16th through the 22nd) is youth week. That is ages 14 through 18…that’ll be kinda weird:-) I mean, an 18 year old waking me up to ask me if she can go to the bathroom…? The 2nd week (the 23rd through the 29th) is a Junior week. That is ages 8 through 11…big switch, but, it’ll be a blast! Then, finally, the 3rd week (the 30th through the 5th) is Adventure week. That is ages 11 through 14…my brother and sisters are coming that week. The girls are going to be in my cabin. Our friends are coming that week too…which, is kinda cool! The girl is going to be in my cabin too and the boy is going to be with my brother. It’s their 1st time at camp! They’re excited! So…I just thought that I’d write and tell you about that :-) Beesha warned me about the “3 C’s” ! Cute Christian Counselors! Oh boy! :-) "
If you can tell (DUH) I am totally cyched about this awesome oppertunity that God has given me :) He's pushing me out of my comfort zone and I just have to trust Him in the plans He has for me! Gotta Go! TRUST HIM!!!

Hey Fellow Bloggers!
Here's an update.
I sent out my application to Bliss Summit. Hopefully I will be contacted on whether or not I'm "in". I guess it's out of my hands now and I will just have to trust Jesus to take care of the rest.
I went over to my friends house this morning. It was a really good time! We talked, fooled around on the computer, and scrubbed (for ,like, 2 or more hours!) a stove and fridge that she and her husband were able to get totally free! Now, although they (well, the stove) needs to probably be wiped down again...it is all set for her baking business that she is hoping to get set up in a few months. She also got all our homeschooling (our 2 families are doing school together this next year) material ,pretty much, planned out and ready for next year. I can HARDLY wait!
I am going to be a JUNIOR!!! I wonder if it will be any different than being a freshman or a sophmore! Hmmmm...gotta go! Talk Soon!:)

Exciting Turn of Events!

Hey fellow bloggers!
I am now a (hopefully) Counselor-in-training and Bliss Summit Bible Camp! I will work probably 1 week and hopefully more if Mom and Dad will let me! I am soooo excited ab0ut this awesome oppertunity! My heart cry is for young girls ...this is such an oppertunity to glorify and honor the Lord! I really am praying that I will be a godly example of a young girl who lives (or trys to live, failing and falling MANY MANY times!:) for Jesus Christ. I want to make a difference in these girls lives. Please pray with and for me!
We went to Darien Lake yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Our friends just got back from a wedding . It is soooo incredibly nice to have them back. We really missed them.
At our youth group meeting on Friday night the leader was speaking about how he is so scared for "2nd generation christians" ,which would be teens my age, because so often we get so familer with Christianity...that we begin to detest it. I pray that I will never become too familer and comphy with my relationship with Jesus,yet, it is a temptation that we all face. He also spoke about loving the Lord with a fervant love. Do we have a fervant love for the Lord and the Bible and prayer? Or, is it just another "routine thing that we HAVE to do"? May it never be so with us but let us love the Lord.

" And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."
Do we love God with all our hearts and souls and strength? Does it show...think about it. What movies do you watch...what music do you listen to... what words come out of your mouth? How do you treat others? What traits and qualities are you know by? Is it the fruits of the spirit:
Love , Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control?
Whew! that's a lot to think about! My challenge today...seek Him. He is not hard to find. Take that 1st step...you'll never regret it!
