Yes, the 30 hr. famine is over and done :) What an awesome time it was. God worked...He really did. So some of you are probably going "What on earth is a 30 hour famine?" Good question :) It is when teens all over America go 30 hours without food. The reason? To raise money to send to starving children around the world. World Vision started this in 1992...then 40,000 children UNDER the age of 5 years old died per day from starvation. Now, because of the famine and God's grace that number has come down to 29,000 children a day under 5. The famine does make a difference! Here is a video that made me cry! But it is really good:
I think that here in America we don't know what it means to go hungry...pls pray for these children.
So how was our famine? Well, like I said, it was amazing! God was there and He definately was working! We were talking about how we didn't really feel any hunger. And that is because God was so feeding us spiritually. About 75% of our time was spent on devos and prayer. God worked! Then we did the church service and wow! was that awesome :) God is so good! Love those pics! It was so fun! I'm so glad that we did it. Like I told jenny, there's a stump in our back yard... :D We're going to try and do it like in the movie, but I don't know if we'll be able to... :) Love you! ~Liv
