WOW! 3 weeks makes a difference!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
Wow! Ok...3 weeks ago I went to the mennonite Bible study carless and jobless and depressed about both. 2 weeks I came back and had a car and a job! It just amazes me how faithful the Lord is and how much He has been doing in my life!
So yes I do have a car now and the Lord has just been providing for that in so many AWESOME ways!
I had been wanting and needing (so I thought) a car and a job for a year about. Things would come up but the Lord just never really confirm them and so as a result I was 17, going to college, jobless and carless! Boy! The Lord really was teaching me a lesson in trust though. Anyway, for about a year and 1/2 I had been really wanting to work at the YMCA where we train for Tae-Kwon Do. The job that i wanted was working at the front desk (kinda like a receptionist/secretary thing). So I had applied for it over and over again but nothing ever came up plus I didn't (CONTRACTION! My Eng. professer would have a fit lol :-p) have a car and we are a one car family anyway so unless I got a car I really couldn't have worked there anyway!
So, for 1 1/2 years I just patiently waited for the Lord's timing and was completely content with where I was!.........(LOL :-p) ACTUALLY, it was really a real hard time for me and the Lord really had to teach me some lessons on contenment and trusting Him to provide in HIS timing.
So...I waited and prayed and went to school and waited some more. And you know what? As He always does and promises to do! THe Lord totally provided for me. He got me a car (for $1,000 less then it was going for!) and a job at the YMCA at the front desk! I started friday! :)
God is so good but, I have realized that I really need to get my priorities straight with Him being #1. I am very much a person that rellies on what people think and not so much what the Lord thinks. I am very people oriented and that can be a bad thing. SO, I am with the Lord's help attempting to just give it all over to the Lord once again...my desires (husband, family) and dreams (husband, family) I am just realizing that I need to just completely trust them to HIS care...I want HIM to be #1!
Well, I am sorry I haven't updated so much...hopefully now that school is almost over I can be more faithful in updating :)
Blessings to you all!

I'm a change-my-picture-at-the drop-of-a-hat kind of a guy. I was bored one day after I updated my profile so I clicked on the Last Flight Out link under my favorite movies and just started checking out random blogs. I'm always bored, because all I ever do is school anymore.

-Kelly

...that reminds me, I need to add some more photos to flickr!

-Keep commenting on that post, at least until we reach 20 comments.
-Technically I'm a senior, but I'm stretching out my graduation until '09, because of my new college situation.

Have you ever been on a mission trip before? Ever been out of the country?

Hmmm, "How many people read my blog". Well let me check! Ok, so Alyssa Hobbs has been on (she's part of a team that I'm going to Peru with in June. I don't really even know her), a couple people from CA (possibly a family friend), somebody else from MI (probably another member of the team), somebody from oregon, somebody from PA, and our family friend from CA. That's goes back untill May 5th. I can delete any comments off my blog if you want.

Ok, so for your Flickr question:

1. Go to flickr.com
2. Sign in (obviously)
3. Click on You in the upper left corner
4. Now look up at the address bar, and look for your photostream name. Like my address bar will say: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigdog17/

bigdog17 is my photostream name

This is what you need to put on blogger as your flickr username.

Any questions or clarifications just let me know!

How sad and unorigional is that! I have no clue how I got it :)
Happy Saturday by the way...NO SCHOOL!!!! :)
Have you figured out what you are going to do for your Mother for Mother's day?
THat was all random stuff!

HIS daughter said...

I have never had the oppurtunity to go on a missions trip :( I would LOVE to though!
THat is ok about the comments on the blog...I was just wondering :)
Why do you have to wait till 2009? Just cause you haven't been able to choose a college? I am technically supposed to be a senior too but, I graduated when I was 16...not b/c i am smart either! I tell people it was b/c i was sick of school! :)
I have been to canada a couple of times and have stood in 2 places at once! I have a pic to prove it too :) Does that count?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Wow, I just fell asleep doing Spanish homework! Yeah for some reason I was able to name my photostream. Lately I've been doing school every day so that I can catch up before I leave for Peru...my days are starting to blur together. We're probably going out to eat and then we're going to the Chicago Botanical Gardens. I'm starving!!!

-Kelly

Btw, cool pics. I like the one with the "wooden room"...I'll post a comment so you know which one I mean. I'm a nature freak and when you have a wooden room it makes it feel like a cabin.

HIS daughter said...

When you fall asleep doing homework that is a pretty sure sign that you are doing way too much school :) lol! Hey docters orders...take a break!
Peru...I had a friend that went there and she LOVED it! What will you be doing there?
Have fun eating and at the Chicago whatever gardens :) Sounds fun and from reading your blog it sounds like you will like it better then going to an art museum :)
~Katy
BTW...how on earth are you able to reply to me so quick?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

We will be doing a lot of evangalistic programs for kids, a bit of ESL, some work projects, and then on our "touristy" day some of us are going to take a flight in a tiny plane with SAM Air, which is kind of like MAF.

Hehehehe, yeah I like it better than the Art musuem, but the botanical gardens is like my mom's favorite place, so I've been there like seriously 20 times! Kinda boring after awhile...

-Kelly

I happened to be on at the same time as you. It was funny because my post was on before your 2nd comment, and then all of a sudden it was last!

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Hey so...congrats on the 20th comment :) Just wondering...do you still want to chat on that post or move it to another? Cause it will take awhile for me to reply to you recordbreaking long comment :) It is your call!
THat is so cool about your missions trip! YOu will have to take tons of pics! :)
Well, at least they are gardens :) Hey I would love to go once! I have never really been to Chicago...I have to say taht cities scare me :) Of course I have never really spent time in one but seriously...we drove through NYC on our way to long island and I got claustrophobic! I am such a country hick! :) I bet they are great...is that your MOther's day celebration? I hope you have fun! Don't get too bored...it is better then sitting inside! :)
~Katy

Ps: That is really funny! About the times...is Illonois ahead or behind or same time as NY? Cause I am really confused about the time thing! lol :)I am posting this at 2:51 NY time...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Why thank you! Go ahead and post on the newest post, or here if you'd rather. I hate cities! I hate Chicago! Give me Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, or Idaho any day! That is of course, if I was going to continue living in the US, which I'm not.

That is our Mothers Day Celebration. I don't know if we're doing anything else right now. My family engrossed in the whole cookie-selling thing right now.

Why you're welcome! This is the 20th comment on her (AHEM!) Just a small question...if you hate the city so much why do you live in it? Or are you in a suburb! I am about as country as it gets :) I love being in the middle of nowhere and just being surrounded by God's nature! AMAZING!
So that pic that you liked. It actually is a log cabin in the middle of nowhere! The people that own it are our families best friends and they own a ranch. THeir house is actually an old hunters cabin...it is pretty sweet. TOns of horses and yeah...I will post some more pics of it. THey have this huge pond/lake with a zipline! It is awesome :)
SO you really are a country boy at heart :) lol COokie selling? SO i am guessing that your mom bakes them and you eat them? lol :)
So i went to your peru blog and...My dad went on a Mexico missions trip with David sitton this past summer and my sister abby is going to PNG this February...with David Sitton! THat is just really cool :) Love in the hearts of wild men too!

I live in a suburb, which isn't quite as bad, but I still don't like it. Tolerable would be the word. And I live with my parents still, so I don't really have a choice.

My family does this whole cookie-making fundraising operation a coupl of weeks before the homeschool convention. It pays for our curriculum.

...David Sitton only takes 1 trip to Papua New Guinea...so your sister and I are probably going on the same trip. He came to my uncle's church like 10 years ago and spoke. My uncle is really good friends with him and his wife. It was really funny, when I called and asked if there was availability for this trip, Tommi was like "Oh, we can MAKE room for Todd Kelly's nephew." Hahahaha!

-Kelly

-Definetely "Bowling Ball"
-Hmmmm...I generally like work...ahhh! this is a hard one!...Ok, vacuuming cobwebs from in between the supports of the basement ceiling. I don't really mind it, but it's my least favorite.
-Code Red Mountain Dew? It's second only to Full Throttle!

AHHHHHH! It deleted my last comment again!
OH MY WORD! That is sooooo incredibly exciting about you possible going on the same missions trip as my sister! Kelly Bryant you caused a small stir in the case family household tonight :)Actually, you can pray that Abby will still be able to go b/c unless they get another girl student Dave might not let her...so if you could pray about that it would be appreciated!
How do you pray...that sounded so dumb! I mean, do you do something different or out of the ordinary? I prayer journal. I absolutely love to write and I don't know I just love being able to write letters to my Father in Heaven :) I have been doing it forever! I have like 8 journals...the neat thing is that with everyone I was going through a different time/trial/lesson in my life so it is neat to look back.
Subarbs are better then city! And at least you get to travel :)
SO yeah...I LOVE "Bowling Ball" and my other 2 superchick favorites are "Princes and Frogs" and "Beauty from Pain".
I have never had an energy drink! I don't know why...boy I am weird! lol :)
My least favorite chore is the bathroom. I had to clean it today and it only cemented my LOATHING for the job!
Well, i guess i will talk to you later. Did you ever think we would talk this much? It is weird but kinda cool :) lol :)
~Katy

Ps: your turn for a random question!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

This is REALLY weird!!! Who would've ever thought??? I'll be praying for her! This is an AWESOME trip! At least from what I've heard. I was actually able to talk to one of the guys that just went a couple of months ago, which was pretty cool. He was able to give me a good feel for the trip. He and I also had a nice talk about the influence of reformed theology on missions, hehehe! This guy was really nice, I'm sure he'd be willing to talk to your sister if she'd like.

How do I pray? Well, I've been told that I pray very in-depth prayers! The way I see it, prayer is just talking to God, and I talk to Him a lot (although not nearly enough!). I've never done anything overly unusual in the prayer area. I've never had a prayer journal, although I have entertained the idea several times. I LOVE praying in a group! I'm an usher at church, and every week before service the worship team, the ushers, sound crew, and anybody else thats hangin' around gather in a circle and just PRAY! I make it sound like TONS of people, but there's usually between 10-15 people. Now I strongly encourage the guys in the small group that I lead pray in a group also. (The guys in my small group don't really want to cross me, because I'll throw them out the back door!)My coolest "prayer experience" was when I was in Rio de Jainero, Brazil and we were up on Sugar Loaf mountain, looking down on the greater Rio area. The view was a majestic picture of God's beautiful creation!

You absolutely have to try Full Throttle Blue Demon. It is the best energy drink on the face of this earth.

I LOVE talking to other Christians, but I never expected something like this. From your first post on my journal blog it sounded like you were turned off by the crude content, hehehe.

-Kelly

Hmmm...random question huh?

Have you ever had a charlie-horse before? That's the most excruciating pain I've ever felt in my entire life!

Ok, I have to think of a better one than that...When it's a beautiful spring day, 78 degrees out, and you're stuck inside doing school, what would you rather be doing?

HIS daughter said...

I think that she would love to talk to ANYONE about PNG :) That is just...such a God thing :)WOW!!!!
I love praying in groups and then sometimes...I don't know I just feel like being quiet. Prayer journaling is nice b/c I personally do not get distracted as easily when I am writing you know?
YOu know where I would love to go a have a prayer time? (Well, one of the places!). I would LOVE to go to a tropical place where there is a beach right next to the ocean and go there in the early morning and have a prayermeeting while watching the sunrise :) THat would be AWESOME! Or another place would be on top of a mountain...again, at sunrise. There is just something about the sunrise! I love it!
Anyway, energy drinks...frankly, they scare me lol :) I can already get hyper w/o mega mega amounts of sugar and caffeine! So i don't know what it would be like with mega mega amounts of sugar and caffeine! lol :) Maybe someday...if we ever meet you can buy me a energy drink...and i will think about drinking it :) lol :-p
It's funny...I never expected this kind of friendship that is so Christ centered! I did not sound scared! Did I? lol :) Honestly not a lot scares me! Crude content! WHatever! It is not that bad :) lol :)
So we had church today and then celebrated Mother's day. WEe got mom Toy Story on dvd! It is her favorite movie :) lol :)
Hope you are having a good day :)
~Katy

Ps: Yes you do not think of very random questions! THat is ok...let me answer the ones you did come up with:
No, I have never had a charlie horse...they do sound painful. How do you get them?
"When it's a beautiful spring day, 78 degrees out, and you're stuck inside doing school, what would you rather be doing?"
I would much rather be riding horses, outside with a really good book, walking or hiking, going to the park...just outside or with friends, Tae-kwon do...ANYTHING but school :) I am guessing you came up with that while you were stuck inside doing school? lol :)
Ok, let's try this again..
I am going to give you some more examples of random questions and then it is your turn :)
What is your favorite cartoon? Mine is Finding Nemo and Ice Age the 1st one!
What is the most embarrasing, klutzy thing you have ever done? I ran full speed into a tree oh and there were tons of boys all over it was embarrasing! LOL :)
Ok, enough examples? Now it is your turn for random questions :)

My parents are entertaining the idea of driving the WHOLE family down to Texas when I leave for PNG. Have you ever heard of Phillip Telfer before? He wrote the book "what Wouldn't Jesus Do" He's a really cool guy, and he lives in Texas, so I have this idea in the back of my mind...I want to find out where he lives in relation to where I'm going to be. He asked me if I would pray about being part of their ministry and going around speaking at churches. I've entertained the idea, since I'm kinda gonna have a free year. I just got to see what it all entails.

The whole Botanical garden thing got canceled because it's 45 degrees out and raining to boot. I'm SOOOOO disappointed, NOT! Actually, I'm not reallly that mean, I would have enjoyed going because my mom enjoys going. We got her a keychain that's a digital photo album.

Energy drinks are AWESOME! If they weren't so expensive and bad for you, I'd have one every day! We should totally meet just to randomly to have an energy drink! Hehehehe!I love hanging out with hyper people. I barely tolerate cynical, pessimistic people. Hmmm... pessimistic doesn't look like it's spelled right...

So not very much scares you? I wouldn't say that I'm "fearless," but I'll do pretty much anything, even if I'm scared.

A charlie-horse is where your calf muscles totally LOCK UP! It hurts like you wouldn't even believe! I've gotten them after doing long bike rides, standing on my toes for a really long time in the pool, "turning on the jets" too many times in one night playing basketball, etc, etc.

-Kelly

So, on to the random questions:

My favorite cartoon is definetely Ice Age, with Emperor's New Groove close second. The second Ice Age was junk. Too emotional, and full of inuendos. Hmmm... not sure if I spelled that right...

I don't get embarrassed very easily...ummm, let's see, I got to run through the brain archives here. OH GOSH! I got it. This is kinda crude, but hey. So we picked up Potbelly sandwiches on our way to a homeschool convention. I got a wreck with hot peppers. So 3 or 4 hours later I'm sitting in a class on courtship with my parents, and at the end of the class the speaker is praying. Now we're sitting on really HARD plastic chairs. And I farted right during his prayer! Oh man it was loud! My dad just starts cracking up next to me. Aww it was bad! It was pretty funny though, even at the time. The next year I was laughing telling some friends about it, and they were like "DUDE! That was you! WOW!" And they were sitting like 10 rows behind me! Anyway, here's my random questions. My fingers are in a typey mood today, so I felt like doing a long post.

-What song do you sing when you're walking down a store aisle? Lately I've been singing Rawkfist by Thousand Foot Krutch. I've also been know to sing the Bob the Builder song.

-Have you ever eaten a bug before? It seems like I remember eating a cricket back when I was working at PetSmart. Maybe not. I was dared to do it so many times. I did eat one of the gelled water things though. And I got a candy bar for it! Hehehehe!

-What is your favorite old TV show? Mine is totally Bewitched! I hate the show, but I love Abner! He totally makes the show! He's hilarious!

HIS daughter said...

I'll say you felt like doing a loooonnnnnggggg post :) lol! NOw it is my duty to try to top it! LOL :) I don't know I feel like I am in a typy mood too!
The WHOLE family to texas!? That sounds fun :) How many siblings do you have? I have 2 sisters and one brother plus an adoptive brother. We are all 1 1/2 years apart. I am the oldest...which can be interesting :) My parents were wondering what to do for Abby too...she probably would have to fly but, she can't do it alone cause she is 16 and has never been on a plane before! SO I don't know what we will do.
NO, I have never heard of Philip (scrolling down to get the last name shall return in 5 to 7 minutes!) Telfer before...that book sounds really good though! I think that it would be awesome to go to different churches and minister! That would be really neat...
Sure you would have loved to go to the bolontical gardens JUST because you mom enjoys it lol :) Uh huh! I don't think you are mean at all!
I don't know about those energy drinks...seriously you should just randomly drive out here and show up at my house with an energy drink that would by HILARIOUS! Oh wait...gas is too expensive...we will just have to think of something else! lol :) I still am not sure about them. I like hyper people too. See I have a very bubbly personality! WHen I get going I don't stop talking and when I am with my 2 best friends (they are sisters) we talk to fast sometimes we can't understand ourselves! LOL :) Do you talk a lot? SOmetimes I wonder if I talk to much BUT I know when to stop and listen. That is very important I think too :)
Not much scares me? HAH! Well, I used to be very fearful just because of some stuff that happened when I was younger...but the Lord is so faithful and has taught me to just trust Him. I am afraid of what people think of me. And I am afraid that I will never have a family of my own, and I am afraid of making mistakes and yeah... it is just little stuff but you...Dude after seeing those cold war pics...yeah! You don't scare me LOL :)
CHarlie horses sound absolutely horrible! Oh my word! I pray I never get one!
~KAty

Ok, our ps's are longer than the actual comment LOL :)
ICE AGE AND EMPERORS GROOVE! I love those movies cartoons are awesome :) I remind myself of sid from the emperors new groove which is kinda sad! lol :) Especially the part where Manny tells the Rhino's that there is a sink hole inbetween them then Sid yells YEAH and throws the rock! LOL :) "That was a bluff?" "Yeah, that was a bluff!" LOL :) I hated the 2nd one! I could not BELIEVE some of the innuendos in there! I'm sitting there going "this is a kid's movie?" It was pretty bad!
Ulp! I gotta go I will continue this later!

Ok I am back! About your embarrasing story :)THat was absolutely hysterical :) Especially about your friends :)
What song have I been singing? Um...I have had alot of country running through my head lately! THe one song "From this moment" is my new favorite by Shania Twain. It isn't Christian but it is a really sweet song :) I am a sap for love songs! lol :) My friends introduce me as "the incurable romantic" and I kind of remind myself of Jane Austin's Emma...the matchmaker :) (which does not always work! lol :-p)
No, I have never eaten a bug before! But I was reading through this hunting magizine and it was telling which ones are good for food and how they taste...pretty interesting!
My favorite old tv show...How old? Cause I LOVE Little House on the Prairie and I love lucy (sometimes) and ...I don't know I don't have a tv so I haven't really watched many shows...
Ok: my turn:
Have you ever made a movie before? Like a music video or a fulllength with your friends? I have done both and love it!
And, what is you favorite Bible verse?

I have 7 siblings. I'm the oldest. I'm going to be 18 in June, and the youngest is 4. (I think)

Yeah, the whole Texas thing would be to see me off to PNG. They (my family) have this thing that they like to see me off at the airport before I leave somewhere. ...Is your sister scared of flying? My cousin and I are flying by ourselves from here to Miami and then meeting up with the church there. She's like a month older than me. She's flown like a ton of times, and I've flown on 4 planes (chicago-atlanta, atlanta-rio, rio-atlanta,atlanta-chicago, lol!) I'm not scared at all to be "by myself." But I'm a guy (I say that for safety reasons, not chauvinistic views, hehehe), and I also love adventure!

We're working through Phillip Telfer's book in small group right now. I tell ya, leading a small group is rough! You really start to get involved in people's lives. I love it though!

Ok, so I just threw in that part about "because my mom would enjoy it" for posterity. I seriously don't MIND going to the gardens though.

I get along with people who are crazy a lot easier than I do people who are reserved. I'm just weird like that. Do I talk a lot?? Hmmm... Depends who I'm talking to. I don't really talk that much I guess, but I'm definitely not reserved! Yep, it's definetely important to know when to shut up and listen. I have friends that don't, and it is a challenge to me!

-Kelly

I was laughing so hard when you were saying how you were like Sid throwing the rock!!! Classic, classic!

I've made short movies before, but they're just crazy stuff (most of them are on my blog if you go to older posts.

Um...I think my sister is nervous and my Mom and Dad are like We don't want to send are daughter on a plane alone in this world of crazy maniacs (my paraphrase can you tell!).
Oh i gotta go but I will finish this later :)

If we were ever to im eachother or call do you know how stinking long we would talk for? lol we comment eachother so stinking much it is hilarious!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

June 26. So not even a month. I know, I know, I wouldn't want to send my 16 year old daughter alone either. There was actually talk of me going down a couple weeks early to Peru, all by myself. That would have been awesome, but my mom didn't want me to be gone for my birthday. (I'm sure she was a little nervous about me going all by myself, but she trust her brother (my uncle) and he goes down there all the time and he was going to set me up with people down there. Ok, I'm really questioning WHY I'm telling you all this??? Not sure what I'm setting out to do here. Anyway, yes I'm definetely a guy, and I'm also older.

-Kelly

Let's not even go there! Holy cow! I still need time to nurture my life of NOTHING!!!

-So what's the hardest music you listen to? You asked me about the O.C. Supertones in some post, but I don't remember where. Anyway, They're good Christian music. They're of the Ska genre, so rock with trumpet and trombone. It's fun music to listen to, and they're lyrics are good. Particularly good are "Resolution" "Jury Duty" and "Little Man"

I listen to 99.9% Christian music. There's a few neutral songs that I throw in for good measure, but I generally listen to stuff a nice balance of fun Christian music, and Christian music that is going to help me in my Christian walk. Actually, most of the stuff I listen to is both.

-Kelly

I think that you have proven once and for all that you are a guy and that you are older than me (by like um...a few weeks! so don't rub it in! :p)

Ok, lets get something straight here and I am being completely serious. When I said this:

"If we were ever to im eachother or call do you know how stinking long we would talk for? lol we comment eachother so stinking much it is hilarious!?

I did not mean to imply anything AT ALL! The last thing I want to do is have you think that I am just trying to push myself on you b/c I am not! I like to nurtue my life of nothing right now too :) PLus, yeah...so pls. just know that that was not intended the way it sounded!
Ok, I am done being serious :)
O.C. Supertones...I need to try them out. See, my problem is that before I recommitted my life to the LOrd I had really started getting into country and other secular music. Not bad stuff, in fact there are a lot of good songs out there BUT they didn't necessarily point me to Jesus. So, in the Christian music department...have any suggestions?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Nah, I knew you didn't mean it like that. I just worded my reply wierd. I meant I still need time to do school. Hahahaha! Aww man, my jelly beans are gone. Well, the ones I had on my bed. Now I have to walk all the way across the room to get my new bag. Hey while we're on that subject, have you read "I kissed dating goodbye", (shoot, I can't think of the sequel's name. Oh well, I'll just make something up.) "I kissed courtship hello", "The Dating Trap"? The courtship book was what brought me to my knees in the whole dating relationship thing that I had going on.

Hmmm...what kind of music would a girl like? Who cares! I LIKE: Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Thousand Foot Krutch, Sanctus Real, Mxpx, Building 429, tobyMac, Pillar, Grits, KJ-52, Kutless. Not that I like ALL of the music that these artists put out, but I like the majority of their stuff. Third Day is the exception. I like all of their music, and they have very solid lyrics. That is just a small list of the music I listen to! I have more

-Kelly

-Is your brother seriously a big Taylor Swift fan?

-What's your favorite food?

-How many states have you been to?

HIS daughter said...

I LOVE THOSE BOOKS!!!! ANd it is "Boy meets GIrl"! I even have them on tape. Actually the books that really got my attention on the whole dating thing are "When God writes your love story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. Josh Harris actually mentions them in his book anyway, I love it cause they really focus on how before you even think about a dating relationship Jesus should be the center of your life. It is really good! I think you would really like it! (See, I can recommend books and actually not have to make up names :) lol :)
Ok just a question in passing...HOW MANY JELLYBEANS DID YOU BUY!?!? lol :) Wait a minute...this is Kelly...umm...I am guessing a lot! Am I right? :)
What does being a girl have any difference to musical tastes? I LOVE tobymac! My sister and I love to just jam out to him when we are driving somewhere! Ever listened to "Boomin'" with a subwoofer? PRETTY AWESOME!!! :) I will definately try some of those guys out...I have heard of them all but I haven't ever really listened to alot of them. That will be changing!
~Katy

Um...Danny LOVES country music...and when he finds a song he likes he just latches onto it. He actually hates Taylor swift...he just likes a few of her songs :)

My favorite food? How about FOODS? :)
I love chinese!
I love French Onion and Harvest Chedder sunchips (my favorite all time snack!)
I love apples and peanut butter and celery and peanut butter.
I love piece of cake icecream
I love Pasta!
My favorite candy is strawberry twizzlers.Oh! Have you ever drunk mountain dew with twizzlers? You bite of the ends of the twizzlers to make them into straws and then you drink the dew through it. IT IS AMAZING! YOu HAVE to try it! :)
I haven't really been to a lot of states...well, that is not true, I have passed through a lot of states how is that? we have family in CO so we normally drive for 3 days to get there so i have gone through a lot of states. And I have been to CHicago! We were at the Grand Central Station and walked to Jeardono's (totally spelled that wrong!) for Chicago style pizza. It was amazing! :)

What are your favorite foods?
What is (oh I had a really good one!) Oh! Do you collect anything? Besides your miniature zoo? I collect books!

THe list goes on and on!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Ummm, about 3lbs (a lot!)

Ha! Rocker Chick! That's cool. I like people that don't have a problem with "heavier" Christian music. My parents don't like some of the stuff I listen to, but they've changed a lot. If you want more suggestions, just ask. I'll even give you song titles for the artists I've already named! I'm such a nice guy! (Kelly pats himself on the back)

Mountain Dew and Twizzlers huh? I'll have to try that. Twizzlers Ropes are my favorite.

Giordano's (I don't even know if I spelled it right, but it's closer than yours!) is really good, but I like thin crust pizza better. Thin and greasy!

Tuna Noodle Cassarole is my #1 favorite food. After that I like pizza, salad, Fuddruckers, Jimmy John's. Actually Jimmy John's is like my favorite place to eat. I love bottlecaps and I am absolutely addicted to sour gummy worms! I used to go to the hotdog stand at Home Depot and get a polish sausage with pickle and cheese. OH MAN that was good! I just found out today that the Home Depot that's near our house now has a depot dogs also! OH YEAH!

Ok, so here's a question, and then I'm gonna sign off for tonight. Are you a good cook? I bake/cook stuff every time we have small group. I'm awesome at it, at least so the tell me.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

AHHHHH! I replied to this last night! And it erased it!!!!!
Ok, lets try this again! :)
Well, it is morning...are the 3 lbs. gone? loL :) If it were me they would be! lol :)
Rocker Chick? Um...yes and no. I love to jam out but I also LOVE slow songs :) (I am a hopeless romantic it is required plus it is a girl thing!). I would really appreciate some titles. My problem is that I see an artist and am like oh that looks cool but then I have no clue where to even start listening to him/her. So yes and suggestions would be appreciated :) (I can just see you rubbing your hands together in glee and going "Well...") lol :) I have to admit...you are a pretty nice guy and thank you for the artist/song recomendations. (Katy pats Kelly on the back). But don't let it get to your head!
I have never had twizzler ropes and you have never had mountain dew and twizzlers...sounds like we will both be trying something new!
I LOVE tuna noodle casserole! My sister Abby makes some that is out of this world! I like it best when there is a ton of (here goes my great spelling skills again) mozzerella cheese melted over top! Oh my word I am getting hungry just thinking about it! What on earth a fuddruckers? And I have never heard of Jimmy Johns. I am sure that it is good though! And yes you did spell giradono's better than my attempt! I have only been there once but next time I go I will try the thin crust :)
Am I a good cook? Um...I like baking a lot better than I like cooking! I make these Pizza Hut Breadsticks from scratch that are out of this world (or so I am told she says modestly ;)) Actually, I am making this book with all of our favorite tried and true recipes...they are good.
Ok, so have you ever...burned microwave oatmean? To the point where it is a thin rubber layer on the bottom of the bowl and when you turn it upside-down and shake it IT DOESN"T MOVE? i have done that more than once :) lol :)
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Stupid me. I just erased mine too. Argh, now i have to try to remember what I said!

So you're a romantic rocker chick. New one on me, but that's cool AHHH! I just remembered now I have to remember the 10 songs I listed for you! Ok, well here goes:

1. Absolute by Thousand Foot Krutch
2. Nothing Compares by Third Day (My favorite song ever)
3. I Got You by Third Day
4. You Are My Hope by Skillet
5. Hearts of the Innocent by Kutless
6. Sea of Faces by Kutless
7. St. Augustine's Pears by Petra (I love this song, but you won't "get it" unles you've read St. Augustines Pear's
8.I've Always Loved You by Third Day
9. The Space In Between Us by Building 429
10. Closer by Sanctus Real

YOU'VE NEVER HAD TWIZZLER ROPES??? The ones where you pull off all the strands??? Maybe they're not called twizzler ropes, cause I can't imagine anybody never trying those.

I'm too calloused to let compliments go to my head.

My mom always jokes with me that I'm going to have an easy first year of marriage because young couples are poor and they eat tuna noodle casserole a lot. She also said that my wife is going to think I'm weird for like it that much! Fuddruckers is an awesome burger joint with HUGE burgers. You put on all of the dressings yourself, like mayo, lettuce, tomatoe, jalepeno cheese, etc. Jimmy John's is an AWESOME sub place. If you ever go there, get the Italian Night Club w/ Peppers. DON'T GET GIORDANO'S THIN CRUST! Go somewhere like Rosati's, Jake's, or Papa Savario's! You going to have to come to Chicago just to eat!

Sounds tasty! I make all kinds of cookies and desserts. Everything from peanut butter cookies with hershey kisses to nutter butter pie.

I've never BURNT microwave oatmeal, but I've made it explode so that it hit the ceiling of the microwave! An accident, of course!

-Kelly

-What color is your favorite shirt? My favorite shirt is BRIGHT blue.

HIS daughter said...

You are not stupid! I do it all the time :) But I hate trying to remember what I wrote!
Thanks so much for the song recommendations ;) I really appreciate it!
No I have never had twizzler ropes...I know, I have no life.
Don't be calloused...sometimes complements are good.
Well, I don't think your wife will mind that much about the tuna noodle casserole. Just pray that she likes it!
Wow! You eat out a lot huh? I do need to come to chicago just to eat :)
I love peanut butter cookies with hershey kisses! I make these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that are really good too :)
Exploding oatmeal? Maybe we should both stay away from microwave oatmeal!
~Katy
I don't know what my favorite shirt is...I like green and rusty rose and just neutral colors!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

...I laugh so hard everytime I come to your blog now, because of the maternity pics!

No problemo on the song recommendations - Do you have an iPod?

I know, I know, overcoming my callousedness is one of the things I'm working on right now.

I'm glad you don't think that my wife will mind about TNC. People that like TNC are few and far between.

I hardly ever go out to eat, except with Chuck and the people that go rock climbing. I used to eat Jimmy John's all the time because they delivered to my work. AHHHH! That sounds good right now!

We totally have to keep in mind you coming to chicago just to eat.

Josh and I made the hershey kiss cookies last week, and we double-rolled them in the sugar! They didn't taste quite as good, but man did we get a sugar high!

But microwave oatmeal is sooooo good! Especially apples & cinnamon!

-Kelly

YOU DON'T HAVE A FAVORITE SHIRT!!! What's wrong with you???

...your turn for a random question. (BTW, "What's wrong with you?" was not my random question, hehehe!)

HIS daughter said...

ABout the maturnity pics...I deleted them off my flickr for 2 reasons:
#1:You had already seen them
#2: Mom was like "People might think you are really pregnant." I am glad you got such a kick out of them though! I still have the shirt...I am saving it until I really am pregnant :)No I don't have an ipod but I do have an mp3 player that I can download songs onto.
Well, I am glad you are working on it (the calleousness ,whoa that was totally mispelled!).
Speaking of food...what are you having for lunch? I had mac and cheese :) Were do you work now? We don't go out to eat very much either. We will keep it in mind about me coming to Chicogo to eat...the problem is I have no money :)
OHHHH hershey cookies! Now I am really hungry! Stop talking about food! lol :)
I haven't actually ever had "real" microwave oatmeal (the packets). But I will believe you that and cinnamon is really good!
~KAty

Let me explain something to you...I AM A GIRL! My clothing styles and favorites change like...everyday! :-p

Random question? What is wrong with you!? lol :) Just kidding! um...man I can't think of one :) Um...why do you like talking to me so much? Am I just your boredom keeper-awer?

Um...do you talk in your sleep?

Ok, I have to go to school...so I am signing off but I will probably talk to you a little later.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I understand. It was funny while it lasted. I can totally make it look like I'm pregnant. I have the unnatural ability to stick my stomach out like REALLY far, and it looks like I'm pregant. Weird, I know. If you see it, it's hilarious!

I'll probably have a bagel and some other stuff for lunch. I don't work anywhere now. I work on my school.

-Kelly

Gotcha. Should've known. I don't really care about clothes...I look good in everything LOL!

No, you're not just my boredom keeper-awayer! You're crazy and fun to talk to! And there's nobody else that I can really talk to like this. I'm too withdrawn with grown-ups, and I can't talk to my friends like this.

Well, I do every once in awhile! Usually only during really stressful times in my life! AKA sinful times in my life! Like when I was dating and I shouldn't have been! I fought with my parents like every night. One night my friend called me at like 2am. I was like "WHAT are you calling me for???" Apparently, I had called him a few minutes ago. Ouch! A few days before that I had been counting money in the wee hours of the morning. So yeah, I do, LOL!

HIS daughter said...

Buddy, I am really not all that excited to see you looking pregnant ;)
School your whole life? I am sorry :(
~Katy

Ok, on to the Ps's!

Um...yeah you should have known that :) You look good in everything huh? Well, it is easier for a guy than a girl!

I am glad that I am not just your boredom keeper-awayer. Are you serious? You really do not talk to anyone else like this? Neither do I...well, except for my Mom. I don't really have any other friends that are as easy to talk to as you. It is funny :) You are the 2nd guy that I have ever opened up to like this. The 1st is my adopted brother. It is neat that we can talk like this though :)
I know what it is like to have yell fights with my parents every night! It is not fun :( And you are right it is normally when I am in the middle of sinning or something stupid like that.

Ok, so while i was driving over here I thought of some really good random questions.

~What do you want for your 18th b-day? It was really funny. Someone asked me why I wanted to be 18 so bad and I turned and looked at them and with a straight face said "so I can smoke." You should have seen their faces :) It was funny!
~Do you have a car?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

It's funny! Yep, school is my life. At least until June 21st.

-Kelly

HA! I like that "it's easier for a guy than a girl." That may be true, but I'd much rather have a girl!

Of course I'm serious! (I'm a guy, we keep everything inside!) It doesn't count if you can talk to your mom like this!!! That's good though! It's better not to count in that criterion.

I'll say it's not fun! Especially when you can't drive, and they have to pick you up from work! Oh man I was stupid!

I want to go see an R rated movie with my friends!!! (Just kidding!) I want a belay device with a carabiner. I recently got certified to belay, and now I need the belay device!

So you wanna smoke huh? That's one think I've never done. (yet) Like I told Jakob, "I don't use the stuff, I just sell it." LOL!

I don't have a car. What I do have is an $800 tax return that's going to buy a car when I get back to Peru and my life shifts up from boring! I definitely want to get a car with a manual trans. (I also don't have a license or permit, long story) I'm supposed to be getting my permit any day now. Then I'm planning on getting my license when I get back from Peru.

HIS daughter said...

Ok...June 21st IT IS ALMOST HERE! ;) Just hang on until then :)
~Katy

What did you mean you would rather have a girl? Oh, you mean kids? Need explanation :)

Actually...I don't talk to my mom as much as I talk to you now. It is kinda weird...me and her have a very unique relationship. What criterion?

Aren't we all stupid when it comes to our parents sometimes? I will never forget when I realized they were on my side. It took a long time getting there though.

R rated movie? Boy let me tell you about my Jesus! (you had better not...cause I would be forced to kill you. lol :) Belaying? That is really cool! I don't know what I want for my b-day...I really have everything I could ever want.

I DO NOT WANT TO SMOKE :) And you had better not be selling the stuff! LOL :)

I will be praying you pass your permit test and find a car! I finally got one but I owe my parents for it hence me working my buns off to pay it off! :)

~Me

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I was talking about clothes and looking good.

Umm, the criterion that I don't talk to anybody like this.

Yeah, I was hit with that a few months after that "fight every night" time period. I was looking back thinking. They just wanted to do what was best for me, and more than that, they wanted ME to do what was best for me! Why am I so stupid!

I'm not really looking forward to watching an R-rated movie. I know that there is one that I want to watch, but I would definetely check it out on pluggedin first. It's The Patriot. I've seen a bit of it with my dad when we were painting a house. I love the American Revolution! While we're on the subject of movies! I don't appreciate swearing in a movie, but I won't stop watching it for that. I hate anything sexual or of sexual nature (i.e. scanty clothing and such) I WILL turn it off for that. I can't stand that stuff. I won't turn it off for violence. So if Thhe Patriot pluggedin review said be warned of violence and some swearing, I would still watch it. All that said, I really don't watch that many movies, and I'm not a big fan of media in general,(except for music), hence why i'm working through a book on media holiness in small group!

I know you don't and I'm not!

That's one thing I won't be doing; oweing my parents. For one thing, they don't have the money, and for another, I don't like oweing people (even if I don't know how to SPELL oweing!) Hahahahaha!

Are you a hat-wearing type person? I'm guessing no, because none of your pics have you wearing a hat.

HIS daughter said...

YIKES I have to go but I will reply to this tonight :)
Talk to you then...
~Katy

I know you don't smoke!

Take My Life said...

Hey Katy!

HIS daughter said...

Ok...whew...now i will scroll down 50 comments to read what you wrote...I shall return!
SO I guess I passed the criterion (isn't it supposed to be criterium?) lol :) I feel honored!

We all go through that stupid stage were we think we know everything only to figure out that we don't know anything! Just think...you will probably have to go through it with your kids!

I think my dad saw the patriot and he liked it. He said it was just really gory. I know what you mean about HATING sexual stuff in movies and the problem is "scenes" are starting to be the norm in like kids movies! (Ice age) I hate it. I was really convicted with some of the stuff i was watching...see, the Lord has been really working with me about having one foot in the world and one foot in Christianity. Part of the stuff that had to go was the stuff I had been putting into my head through movies and music. One thing that saddens me is how you go on Christians blogs or whatever and read their lists of favorite movies/tv shows and all it is is junk, full of NASTY stuff. I think it is sad cause that hurts their testimony I think and that is why I stopped watching some stuff.

About the car...see, mom has seizures so dad was the only driver...with 4 teenage children...yeah so technically the car is his/mine. I am just buying it off of him so it will be completely mine.

I am not really a hat wearing person b/c I don't have any cool ones :( If I had cool ones I totally would (I think!).

~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Hmm, I don't know how it's spelled.

With my kids, now there's something I never thought about!

Yeah, I've really been able to take some good, strong stands with this friend of mine. (Sounds like I'm talking to a Psychiatrist!) He is REALLY immersed in media. We were looking at a pluggedin movie review, and I mentioned the fact that this movie had plunging necklines, and some other questionable material. His comment was "Well, you're old enough!" Mike and I were like "No, nobody's old enough! It doesn't matter if you're 2 or 24!" Then we started talking about Walker Texas Ranger and watching movies at home. We were saying how nice it is to be able to just turn off the tv when junk comes on, as opposed to at the theater. He said "well, I'm not going to be be able to turn off the channel on my wife! I don't think its that big of a deal now." Oh man! I ran with that one! "That's COMPLETELY different! The marriage bed is God's plan! Inappropriate scenes in movies is NOT! Innappropriate scenes in movies are sin! God's plan is NOT!" The most sad and disturbing thing is, this kid comes from a Christian family AND professes to be a Christian! I've been able to have some good conversations with him, which is great, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of hunger for Christ in him.

Gotcha. I wasn't putting you down, I was just saying where I was coming from. I do that a lot with no reserve!

-Kelly

Sweet. Hat's are awesome.

HIS daughter said...

Kinda scary to think of going through it with your kids huh?
Yeah I can totally pull off the whole Psychiatrist thing :) "How do you feel about that?" lol :) THat is really neat how you have been able to talk to that kid. I have a question...what makes someone adult enough to watch nasty stuff? I just think that we as a Christian culture have all gotten into that trap of "YOu're old enough to handle it." NO WAY! I am like just ask yourself...would you be totally comfortable watching this with Jesus? Cause in reality you are!
I think that b/c of all the nasty stuff on tv and such the marriage bed has definately been cheapened! It really is tragic :) That is neat that you have been able to talk with him about it.

I know you weren't putting me down! :)

~Katy

When I come to IL we should get like the craziest hats ever and wear them everywhere :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, NOBODY is old enough! So do you think I would be any good speaking on media? That was the opportunity Phillip Telfer offered me. I would go around to churches, youth groups, schools, anywhere that wants to hear the message!

I had the (fantastic) idea that we should totally co-author a blog about some important subject.

-Kelly

WE SHOULD DEFINETELY get crazy hats! I love going to Target and trying on hats. Incidentally, that's the only thing I ever try on. Our Super Target has an awesome selection of hats! Add that to the IL list!

I got to go watch a flick with my family. I may check back tonight, but more than likely it will be tomorrow. Later!

HIS daughter said...

ARE YOU KIDDING? You would be absolutely AMAZING on talking about the media. KNow why? You have the convictions...that would be really neat :) I think the Lord could really use you in that way.

I would LOVE to co-author a blog with you :) Have any ideas? Maybe about the pressures that teenagers face today...you specialize in guys I specialize in girls :) Just an idea...totally up to you! But I am totally in!

The IL list is getting really long :) That would be really fun if it actually happens! :)

Have fun with the flick :) Talk to you later or tomorrow :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Thanks! I've don't really speak to audiences that much, but between my God-given charactistic of taking-everything-in-stride and the Holy Spirit, I think God could use me. I also am good at debating (I've had lot's practice, LOL!). Seriously though, I enjoy thinking out arguments and stuff.

Hmmmm...pressures teens face today...sounds good, but I wouldn't know where to start! Allow me to think it over. Have you ever seen the scarlet pimpernel?

-Kelly

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Oh hey! You know, we could take a topic and then give the guy's and girl's view/pressures/issues/feelings of it.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Hey! So did you ever end up watching the movie? Sorry I wasn't on...could have chatted more...
I don't think you would have any problem with talking to audiences :) And I really do believe GOd would really use you to reach peoples hearts. Have you made a decision yet? Praying for wisdom for you.
Me and Mom started watching a really BAD version of the Scarlet Pimpernel! But I know there is a really good one somewhere out there (at least people have told me that) I am just not sure which version to watch :) Have you ever read the book? Another one of my favorites!
I think that is an AWESOME idea to take a topic and then give the guy's and girl's view/pressures/issues/feelings of it. Have you thought any more about it?
~Katy

Do you find it funny that we talk about relatively serious stuff on my blog and the randomest (totolly spelled that wrong!) stuff on yours? lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I watched like 10 minutes of Freaky Friday. Then my mom was helping Eleesa, so the kids started watching another movie that I've already seen.

I'm not making a decision until after I get back from Peru and I'm a bit more independant. Car-wise and such of course. I appreciate the prayer!

My mom has a really good version of the Scarlet Pimpernel. I think there is the D word a couple of times, and then the main actress wears a couple of dresses with plunging necklines in a couple of scenes. Kind of a time period thing I guess. Besides that , it's a fantastic movie. I have not read the book.

Yeah, it sounds great! I started the blog, now I have to add you as an author and then we have to decide on a topic. I'm going to start working on that now. Let me see what I have to do to get you on as an author. I think I have to send you an e-mail.

Yeah, kinda funny how that parallels our blogs!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Ok, I sent the author invite to your e-mail

HIS daughter said...

Old freaky friday or new one? My family and I were watching looney toons. Yeah we are dorks (but very loveable dorks lol :p)
I will definately be praying about it...I know you will make the right decision.
Who are the main actors in your scarlet pimpernal? I totally want to watch it!
Email huh? Um...ok, casefamily@rochester.rr.com.
It is funny how it parallels :) I am so excited about our blog! Think anyone will read it?

How about the pro's and con's of Meth?

I FIGURED! lol :) Actually, I thought of a few good topics in the car. What do you think about modesty with my viewpoint and then a guys viewpoint. Cause believe it or not, us girls are pretty clueless to what can be stubbling blocks to guys.
Or what about one on purity, not just sexual but mental and emotional (stuff we let in our minds via entertainment).
Just some ideas.
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Let's go with modesty for the first one. Ummm...I don't really beat around the bush with my words, especially if it's a standards issue! (if you haven't noticed already)

Purity sounds good, and actually we could do posts on all three of those sub-topics.

This is gonna be fun!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I'll take the intro

AND

I'll erase the test.

HIS daughter said...

Wow, you are such a hard worker :) lol :) Actually, and this is totally on the aside, I think it is really important for you to take the lead on this just because you are the guy and I don't know...yeah...you know what I mean!

HIS daughter said...

So, just another random question, are we going to spruce it up a bit? The blog itself i mean...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, I totally know what you mean. (Guess what topic the other book my mom is reading is on: Feminism!)

Go ahead! You're in charge of decorating!

HIS daughter said...

HAH! That would be an interesting topic...seriouly? I am in charge of decorating? :) Thanks! Now prepare to be surprised! WOW! We are up to 92 comments...have to get up to 100 tonight :)

HIS daughter said...

Ok, I decorated...check it out and tell me TRUTHFULLY if you hate it!

HIS daughter said...

I am not done by the way!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I know right! You should here some of the discussions at my house! Usually when my grandma comes over. I learn a lot!

Your welcome!

100 HERE WE COME!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Nice! I like it!

HIS daughter said...

You really like it? Cause it will be really easy to change...I want to make sure you like it cause once I start adding other stuff if you get a new layout it deletes the stuff which, I can get back but it is a pain!
Discussions huh? Does your Grandma differ in oppinion then you guys?
Hey here is an idea...exploring Godly manhood and Godly womanhood...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yes I REALLY like it!

She's pretty much the same, but man is she stubborn!

I'm totally like those topics. We need to do a draft post that we just keep as a draft with all of our ideas. Another idea: making the most of your teen years, and for that matter your singlehood.

HIS daughter said...

Ok :) I just needed that confirmation! lol :)

Um...girls can be stubborn as a whole! LOL :)

LOVE those ideas! Also, are you going to write like a description of our purpose to post in the Header box thing? We definately need to be writing these down!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

100! Oh man that's crazy awesome!

Confirmed. Over and out!

You think I don't know this???

Like our purpose for the blog or the purpose for the post? In what header thing?

HIS daughter said...

That is crazy Awesome :) Think we will make it to 200? LOL :) NOT tonight!

Ok, um...yeah you better know that we can be stubborn :p

The purpose of the blog...ok so if you go to my page see at the very top under the F.R.O.G's Blog their is that description thing? That is where it would go...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Gotcha. I'll write that too.

HIS daughter said...

Sounds great :)

HIS daughter said...

Morning...So I saw your post on modesty and yeah, it is really good! I will put my perspective in asap I just have some classes that I am getting ready for/on my way to now. 3 hour algebra 2 class :) Need I say more?
Did you email the quotes yet? Oh, I need to email you (or post) a really good poem regarding singlehood...whenever we do that topic :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Good Morning! Thanks! Ouch! I hate algebra! I'm definetely clepping out of that so I don't have to take it in college!

Yep, I e-mailed the quotes. Send away! kellyandhogs@yahoo.com

Have fun!

HIS daughter said...

Ok, I have 10-15 minutes...for the last 1 1/2 hrs. I have sat in class and reviewed...my BRAIN IS ON OVERLOAD :p That is ok...hopefully I can pass this test :) Thankfully I am not the only person that has no clue! lol :)
Oh, and by the way...I am EXHAUSTED :p I was sitting in class trying to keep my eyes open and yawning every 5 seconds. lol :)
I will email it to you after class. I shall return :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Hahahaha! What? You've never stayed up late before? All you need is a good strong cup of coffee in the morning! I pull all-nighters every once and awhile. Ever done that before?

HIS daughter said...

I don't drink coffee remember? That was something you were going to introduce to me? I need to start drinking it if we keep talking like this lol :)

HIS daughter said...

I'M FREE!!!!!! Well, for now :) I have algebraic equations swimming before my eyes lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, you totally need to get into coffee. Don't your parents drink it? My dad does, and my mom would love to but she's got a dairy allergy.

I'm free in 36 days!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

HEY! I just made the banner for the blog. Did you know that you can post a picture on that banner? We totally need to do that.

Also, I just made up a title for the blog...we can change it if you think of something.

HIS daughter said...

Actually, my dad used to drink 3 pots a day. Then it started to affect him! So he stopped...he drinks decaf now but we don't have a coffee machine thing in our house so I don't know how I will do this...maybe I will just stick it out! lol :)

Well, I am not TOTALLY free yet...still have some exams and projects due. I am free in 5 days! so you only have 31 more after that...sorry not helping! lol :)

HIS daughter said...

Oh...I am checking it out :) I will figure out the quotes too...you want to post any links? What kind of a picture?

HIS daughter said...

LOVE IT! :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

If I was allowed to eat and drink in my room I'd hook up our old coffemaker in my room! That would be AWESOME!

Gotcha! Actually, 31 days sounds so awesome right now. School has really been a burden to me the last year or so, but especially the past 6 months. It just seems like it's never going to end. Since I'm taking a 5th year, I'm retaing a few classes, but NOTHING compared to what I've been doing!

HIS daughter said...

A coffeemaker in your room...that is a scary mental picture :) lol :)

I bet 31 days sounds great right now! SO what will you be actually doing next year?

Ok, so I am going to post my thoughts now I think...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Oh man, a coffemaker in my room sounds like heaven!

Schoolwise or just other stuff?

Good.

HIS daughter said...

Both...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

School is just going to be some random classes like geometry and whatever else I don't have done before 36 days are up.

As far as life outside of school. Well, I'm hoping to get a job and a car. I'll be doing lots of bike ridig, rock climbing, a caving trip, I'll be going to PNG, There's a chance I'll be working with Phillip Telfer, I'm going to drive up to Wausau, WI to visit my friend a couple of times, Mike Josh and I are riding 60 miles down to my grandma's house sleeping over and then coming back the next day, hmmm...anything else? Nope, can't think of anything else. It will be good to get back into life again!

HIS daughter said...

Oh man, I am drawing a blank...

HIS daughter said...

Sounds fun :) And like a full year! I don't know what the Lord has for me in the next year...besides my job and stuff.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, you just got to keep focused on Him. The rest will fall into place, don't worry!

HIS daughter said...

I hope so :) It just gets hard to trust Him sometimes...I had so many dreams...In 1 year I was supposed to be married! lol :) I don't know. Everything that I ever thought was going to happen hasn't. But you know what? I am not complaining b/c I see now why they didn't happen!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Nice poem. That's on your blog, isn't it?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

My mom has this meat smasher. My dad uses it to tenderize chicken. Seems like sometimes we take our little pieces of chicken, and then God takes the meat smasher and beats the dreams into a pulp, and then THROWS THEM IN THE GARBAGE! But in my experience, 100% of the time He's got a big old T-Bone steak cooking ont he grill!

HIS daughter said...

Oh, yeah...it is on my blog...that thing is in my Bible and my journal. It has helped me through a lot of loneliness :)It is a good reminder to me just to trust the Lord for His timing. So do you want to use it or not? I will not be offended or hurt if we don't b/c it is already on my blog. lol :)

Thanks for the illustration :) It is totally true! Boy...you are good for me lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah we should totally use it! We totally need to go all out on that topic. We need probably need to do 2 sub-topics, (I can't seem to find the right words...odd) Umm, something like using your singleness in relation to awaiting marriage or whatever BUT ALSO using your teen years to be radical for Christ.

HIS daughter said...

We do need to go ALL out on that topic! Especially about using our single years for the Lord.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I love teens who are on fire for Christ! There was this one guy at our old church who used to go to a public school and would gather up all the other guys from church that went to his school and they would have bible study and pray for the school, (at school) each morning!

HIS daughter said...

That is so awesome! If only there were more teens with a passion like that. Seriously, here in western NY there are like no teens really on fire for the Lord. It is really sad. But, we keep praying and witnessing who knows what the Lord will do.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I get really fed up (inside) with lukewarm Christians. I don't think that's how God ever intended it to be. He wants us to be filled with Him to the point of overflowing.

HIS daughter said...

I know and the older I get the more I realize how lukewarm we as a church in america are. It really saddens me.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I know right! Have you ever watched VOM's movie "Underground reality: Vietnam"? That movie is AWESOME! It really gives a lot of insight into how on fire Christians should be!

HIS daughter said...

Do you have it? I have wanted to watch it FOREVER!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, I own it. It is awesome, and EXPENSIVE! It was like $30-some bucks! Great movie though! Have you seen the Agent Abby one? Do you have a tv that you can just watch movies and dvds on? or are you completely tv-less.

Random question #345: Do you want to homeschool your kids?

HIS daughter said...

I have seen it in the VOM magazine and it is expensive! I have wanted to see the Abbie one too...do you by chance own that one too? Nope we are completely tv-less...laptops all the way :) Well, there is one at the church that we use but only when we want to watch videos really...

Random answer #345: YES! I want to homeschool! Our family has tried them all...private "christian" school, public school and homeschool. GUESS WHICH ONE WON?
Homeschool all the way!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

My parents own the Abby one, so yeah. Vietnam one is WAY better. bit Abby is good too.

We never have been completely tv-less. That said we haven't had TV since I was like 6.

Cool! Homeschool rocks!

HIS daughter said...

I saw clips of the vietnam one...looks really awesome...have to add that to the list too :)
Well, i beat ya there! We never had one! In its place we had a library right across the driveway! lol :) We went like everyday...

Homeschool does rock...I am just afraid that I will not be able to teach my kids all that I want them to know...It will be kinda scary at 1st but I have like 5-6 years to prepare for it after they are born lol :) Can't you just see me poring over curriculam catelogs with my 3 week old sleeping in the background? lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Books are way cooler anyway...I'm actually at our library right now. I walked the measly 6 miles it takes to get here. I'm definetely walking home by the alternate route and picking up a polish sausage and a Full Throttle. Ok, maybe a Gatorade. Or both! I am SOOOOO thirsty!

You'll slide by somehow. That's like my motto for life. Yeah, I could totally see you doing that! And then when the baby starts to cry you'd be like "Hang on, on figuring out what I'm going to teach you in highschool. Don't you care about your education?"

HIS daughter said...

6 MILES! Dude, you are crazy :) Was it a nice walk? I am at the school right now trying to block out conversations that are going on around me...
Enjoy your polish sausage (never had one of those either) and full throttle/gatorade. Maybe I should pick one up too if we are going to be talking as much as we did last night lol :) Actually, I do not have school tomorrow so that is ok. Now I am thirsty! I just ate this cookie and now my mouth is really dry...

I don't want to just slide by! LOL :) I can totally not see myself doing that! Well...actually...that is kinda scary lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

It was a pretty nice walk. I remembered that I forgot my water like a block away from my house, but I didn't feel like turning back. There was this garbage truck that was going like seriously 60 miles an hour down the road.

I'm just kidding, you'll do a fantastic job of teaching!

HIS daughter said...

Actually 6 miles isn't too awful bad...is it really flat in IL? Cause here in NY it is not! So that makes biking especially BRUTAL :) Garbage truck going 60...that is scary!

Thanks for your vote of confidence :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Your're right, 6 miles is not that bad. Illinois is like as flat as glass. There's a bit of an up-grade on some of the roads, but it's still flat!

No problem! I have to leave in about 120 seconds

HIS daughter said...

Yeah I have to go too...kick some peoples bums in TKD :) I will talk to you later!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Later. Have fun!

HIS daughter said...

Had a ton of fun :) Um...so, you know how you were praying about the whole perry tkd class that we teach? WELL! We told the other black belts what had been going on and now the HARDEST blackbelt will be coming 1 night a week :) Hopefully that will work out well.
Have you ever had people that you are really good friends with just drop out of your life suddenly for stupid reasons? As a Pastors family unfortunently it happens a lot...my brother is really upset tonight just because it seems to be happening again with his one friend.if you think of it could you pray for him?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

That's cool, I'm glad that's starting to get worked out.

I swear there's somebody in my house. (And there's not supposed to be) Oh well, maybe It just wanted a cookie.

I haven't really experienced that before, at least not that I remember. Why is it especially prevalent among pastor's families? You know I'd be happy to pray for him.

HIS daughter said...

Well, go give IT a cookie then :) Are you home all alone?

Um...when you are a Pastor's family...well. Ok, everything is your fault! Basically, so we have had a lot of people leave the church for stupid reasons and had ALOT of people hurt my Dad especially. I don't know, it is hard watching my dad get hurt. People can just be really cruel it is hard to explain :)

So, are you eating anything right now. I am having chips and dip and I just had some homemade bread :)

I know you are happy to pray...it is just polite to ask I think.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Well, except for the IT!

Ahhh! I begin to understand. That's too bad. It's rough seeing guys get hurt like that. Not that it isn't hard to see girls get hurt like that, but guys rarely show if they're hurting, and if they do, it's probably really bad.

I'm not eating anything...no food in my room. So, I guess I'll have imagine what I would like to be eating! I could totally go for some pizza right now! Greasy pizza!

Yeah, definitely ask, that was just my idea of an affirmative answer.

Hey, soooooooooo would you be up for IM? I don't have anything going the rest of the night, just a bit of homework.

HIS daughter said...

IM? I thought you wanted to focus on your life of nothing? lol :) Sure...my screen name is fullyrogking and let me warn you my internet sometimes cuts out so we could get cut off. I am on now.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Mine does the same thing. Hang on a minute.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

IM isn’t working out for me tonight. See ya tomorrow.

HIS daughter said...

Yeah :) I am really bummed! I wanted to talk to you! Whatever...tomorrow is another day :) Night. (do you have a headache from all the head banging).

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah, I was looking forward to talking to you too. My internet was cutting out something fierce! Anyway...so I crashed like right after I sent that last commment. My bro stayed up until like 1:40 am! He was trying to get his school done so he can leave with Jeff this morning. They're working on a bunch of stuff at Faith Acres, and then tomorrow they're going paintballing at Faith Acres. Mike hooked up with one of our old friends from CL, which is pretty cool. He moved a few months before we did, and he's in a rough-ish situation. I wish I was going with them, but I don't have the cash...y what I do have is schoolwork. Sorry, I'm mixing in a bit of spanish.

Have you ever felt like you've TOTALLY screwed up in a realationship? I mean like your approachs and attitudes were completely wrong for the person that you're dealing with? It really hit me that my relationship with Jakob has been like that. I don't really want to talk behind his back, but my mom and I think he has a lot of emotional issues. He called me like 8 times yesterday just to see if I could hang out with him. He wants to hang out like EVERY day. He comes from a really different family situation than I do. His family is rich, and mine is NOT. Ummm, it goes deeper than that though. My family in general has really had to rely on God for a lot the past few years, and Jakob relies a lot on his posessions. Problem is, I've kinda looked down on him some. It's kind of a hard relationship for me because it's completely different than ones with my other friends. Like with Josh (my best friend) we like joke around about schooling each other in basketball, beating each other up, and stuff like that. That's how we roll. It's a little different with Jakob. I think he has like self-esteem issues and stuff, so when we joke around like that it just brings him down. I'm just starting to realize this the past few days... I want to be more considerate with him. I want to uplift him. It's just hard because I've never really had a peer relationship like this.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

AHHHHH! I'm so bored I'm listening to Carrie Underwood! Some stupid song called "some hearts"

HIS daughter said...

I am really bored right now and I need to talk to you! I thought you didn't listen to country? :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

You NEED to talk to me, huh? I ended up going paintballing...couldn't resist. It was AWESOME! First time I've ever been. I got like 10 different welts! And I got major sunburn on my arms. My mom got after me because I forgot to wear sunblock. Fun day...Lots of fun relationship building opportunities. It was good to hang out with Brandon again.

HIS daughter said...

Yes...I NEEDED to talk to you and for your information it was important! lol :)
I am glad you had such a fun day! Should have worn sunblock :) Paintballing 1st time ever? impressive! :P
SO I am chatting with you right now but i thought i would write this just to let you know i read your comment! lol :)
