9 Days 'til my 18th B-day!

Hey all you fellow bloggers out there!
Well, I did something today just completely at the last possible random moment...look at exhibit A:

I DID IT! I got my cartilage pierced and no I am not going into rebellion, I am not trying to "make a statement", I am NOT trying to offend anybody! I just really thought that it would be a fun thing to do and I did it for ME. So anyway, I have decided this is the extent of piercings I am ever going to get in my lifetime. I was going to get double ones done in my ear lobe but my ear is too small! So Mom (with miminal begging I was surprised) allowed me to get this done. It didn't hurt at all! (Well, there was a little pinch but other then that!).

So anyway, that was the highlight of my day, well, I also got to go on a father-daughter date too so that was nice (I got icecream what more could a girl want? :))

SO, I have really been pondering forgiveness and 2nd chances. We as a family tonight had a big, lengthy, in-depth discussion about some family friends of ours and just circumstances and it really opened my eyes alot. See, I have this really bad habit...I have been hurt a lot in my lifetime ,and I don't know when, but, I have this really bad habit of building walls around my heart. If I get close to someone and then sense that things are getting bad I normally just back away with the whole mindset of "I had better get out now before I get hurt again." That is so wrong! Yes, I have been hurt and yes it is hard sometimes for me to trust now BUT I realized tonight that I need to go into relationships with the mindset of not what people can do for me but how I can minister to them...heh, yeah. Anyhow, I guess that is what I am mulling over right now. Please pray for me. I so want to just honor and glorify Jesus with my whole heart, soul, everything.

I am off to bed. Sleep well everyone!

That seems a little strange to me, but I'm glad you like it! Nobody in my family has their ears pierced, and I don't know if I ever will. I sort of want to, but I don't know if it's worth it. I mean, my MOM doesn't have pierced ears, which is unlike almost all the other women I know! So if I don't get my ears pierced either, it'll just be one more DIFFERENT thing about me...

I've got to admit that thing in your ear doesn't look quite as ridiculous as I thot it would! At least not when it is covered up with your hair! That is about as close to a compliment as you're going to get so enjoy. So when is your bd?

Mom-
Thanks for the kindof compliment mom :p And, you are the one that carried me for 9 months plus 3 extra weeks (sorry about that :p) so you figure out when my b-day is :p Love you!

Looks good! You are braver than me! I am surprised that it didn't hurt too much!

A father-daughter date sounds like so much fun! My dad and I should do that more often. I guess we sometimes do stuff and just don't think of it as that.
